They call me many things: Murderer. Cutthroat. Thief. But you may call me The Nightjar.

This article is about a subject that lacks an official name and is known only by its nickname, title, or alias.

The Nightjar (died 404 BCE) was a thief active in Athens in the late fifth century BCE.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In 404 BCE, the Nightjar and his thieves worked to supply the Athenian general Thrasybulus and his army at Boeotia with weapons for a good payout. The Thirty Tyrants's leader and Thrasybulus' enemy Critias learned of this plot and had the misthios Kassandra eliminate the entire group.[1]
