He who increaseth knowledge, increaseth sorrow. This article contains spoilers, meaning it has information and facts concerning Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood of Venice – Apocalypse. If you do not want to know about these events, it is recommended to read on with caution, or not at all. |
The Beginning of the End was an altered representation of a genetic memory.[1]
Intro
The enemy sanctuary is close. The air is heavy and the sound of the nearby waterfall overwhelming. Even though you can't see your opponents, you feel their presence. A haunting chant echoing through your ears turns your stomach.
Below, you see a temple dedicated to the serpent god. There, you watch two enemies in the middle of a ceremony, caught in a disturbing trance. You can see the yellowish glow of the Apple pulsating to the rhythm of their incantations. The stifling heat hampers your breathing. Suddenly, as you approach the temple, the earth shakes beneath your feet, the ground cracks isolating the building.
According to the diary notes, the ceremony they perform is intended to control Sesha. You think that diverting this ceremony and performing a ritual by sacrificing Hydras could considerably weaken the giant snake.
Find a way to reach the temple and perform a ritual!
Objective
Reach the temple on the other side of the chasm using a grappling hook, then perform your first ritual on the Objective. [!] As soon as it's done:
- Remove 2 Hydra tokens from your plastic bag (place them in the Danger token discard pile).
- From now on, ignore the special rule.
Debrief
Those women worship Colubra. The powers of this renegade Assassin give her incredible influence over them, but that is certainly not the only reason that pushes them to embrace her cause.
Something deeper drives this community. You can't wrap your head around the reasons for this unfailing solidarity and this resilience.
You don't understand the relationship between Sesha and Colubra yet. Are they actually allies as the attitude of the enemies suggests so far? Or rather rivals?
