Saitō Dōsan (斎藤 道三, 1494 – 1556) was a Japanese samurai active in Mino province during the Sengoku period.
Saitō Dōsan was in constant conflict with his southern neighbour, Oda Nobuhide of Owari province, for years, until the pair managed to agree to peace talks. As part of the peace agreement between the clans, Dōsan's daugther, Nōhime, and Nobuhide's son, Nobunaga, were married in 1549.[1]
In 1556,[2] Dōsan was murdered by his son, Saitō Yoshitatsu.[1]
