"Your good work has restored us to our former glory, Ezio. Now, we are ready to strike."
―Antonio

Antonio is the leader of the Thieves faction in Assassin's Creed II and is essentially an Italian Robin Hood. His "HQ" is located in the commercial district of Venice. He lived an honest life with his poor family with his father, a cobbler, and his mother, a maid for an upper-class family. He wanted to be richer, but no matter how hard he studied, the schools would not accept him, no matter how hard he worked he could not get out of his miserable situation. So he decided to steal if he really wanted something because hard labor was not enough and you could become a person in the underground regardless where you came from. He and his men steal from the immoral Venetian noblemen, not ordinary citizens. He considers his guild as "business" and that his clan is more than just a little bunch of bandits. He and Ezio help each other against the corrupt men of Venice.

It is revealed later on in the game that Antonio is a member of the Assassins and appears to help Ezio fight Rodrigo Borgia and his guards.
