Pannouki Hideout was a bandit hideout situated in Faiyum, Egypt, during the 1st century BCE. It was used by the Cult of Wadjet as their base of operations, where they conducted sacrificial rituals in honor of the Egyptian snake-goddess Wadjet.
History
In 48 BCE, Sheshanka, the leader of the cult, had Nanefer the orator from Soknopaiou Nesos kidnapped and brought to the hideout, where he was to be sacrificed for their ritual. However, he was saved by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa, who had learned of the location in the Wadjet's Burrow beneath the town.[1]
