The Officer's Saber was a sword issued to officers of the National Guard. During the 18th century, the French Assassin Arno Dorian acquired a sword of this type[1] which became a favorite of his.[2]
In 2014, the Abstergo Entertainment employee "Numbskull" relived Shay Cormac's genetic memories and modified their Animus to include this weapon as part of Shay's arsenal under the name Arno's Sword.[2] Later it was included as the Unity Sword in the Abstergo Industries product Rebellion where interestingly they claimed it was a Sword of Eden, though the weapon displayed none of the characteristics typically associated with those Pieces of Eden.[3]
