Leofrith was a thegn who served King Burgred of Mercia during the late 9th century, until the king's deposal by the Vikings' Great Heathen Army lead by Ubba Ragnarsson and Ivarr the Boneless, with help from Sigurd Styrbjornson, Eivor, Ceolwulf II, and his son, Ceolbert.[1]
