In September 1942, while attending a party at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute of Anthropology, Human Heredity, and Eugenics, Mengele met Eddie Gorm, a british defector and a rising star among the SS, who unknown to him was in fact a spy of the Americans. During their talk, Mengele informed Gorm and Otto Hammerstein of his excitement about his progress on the Übermensch, the superman, thanks to the help of General Gero Kramer, before telling Gorm that his superior wanted to meet him.
One year later, while brawling with Kramer in Norway, Gorm, now an Assassin, firsthandly discovered the extent of Mengele's work with the Templar. Indeed, thanks to the knowledge obtained from an Apple of Eden, the scientist made a breakthrough in genetic modification, Kramer displaying accelerated cellular regeneration and superhuman strenght.
