Hugh Jackson was a soldier in the Continental Army and the brother of Andrew Jackson, of which the latter would go on to become a President of the United States. He was assassinated by an apprentice of the Assassin Ratonhnhake:ton, during the Battle of Stono Ferry in 1779.
