History
Roman Empire
In 259, the Assassin Accipiter, an Alaman fought in a battle in the Roman Empire. The Alamans faced an army of Romans under the command of general Gracchus. [1]
Essen
In 1348, the Plague crossed Essen, a city in Germany, and wiped out half the town's population. Soon after this, a group called the Brothers of the Cross arrived. The Assassin Lukas Zurburg soon found out they were a Templar organization that offered protection from the plague. Renaissance
During the period of the Italian Renaissance, Apprentices from the Roman Assassins Guild traveled to Germany to have a meeting with Conradus Celtis, a scholar that had discovered the Assassin Order through his research. The Assassins persuaded him to keep his discoveries secret, to which he eventually agreed.[3]
Soon after that, Elector Friedrich der Weise decided to found a school that would question the practices of the Borgia, though the Borgia prepared a bribe to prevent him from doing so.[3]
The Assassins intercepted the carriage that was to deliver the bribe and made the Borgia believe the money was stolen by bandits. They then used the money to make an anonymous donation to the school.[3]
Modern Times
