Galwyna was an Anglo-Saxon healer who lived in Lincolnscire during the 9th century, serving as an aide to the ealdorman Hundbeorht.
Biography
Little is known about her past, though Galwyna was inferred to be present as one of the guests at Hunwald's home, visiting Hunwald's father. In fact, she was present when the ealdorman was taken someplace else from his home.[1]
Circa 875, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan went to search for the missing ealdorman.
