He was soon tracked down to a local beach by former associates Edward Kenway and Charles Vane, who both failed to convince him to return to the West Indies.
Later that evening, English pirate hunters stormed his beach with a Man O' War. Thatch and Kenway boarded the monstrous vessel from Kenway's Jackdaw, but despite their best efforts, Thatch was slain after a prolonged and bloody battle, though Kenway and Vane were able to escape.[1]
