Assassin's Creed II has some few Easter Eggs, while the first Assassin's Creed had only one ( Transformers, the face of Optimus Prime in truck mode on walls) while many other games had Easter Eggs related to Assassin's Creed such as Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand Theft Auto IV and the 2008 version of Prince of Persia.
Mario
300px|left At the beginning of the third sequence, Ezio's Uncle says "It's-a-me! Mario!" which is a reference to Super Mario Bros. To further support this is Mario Auditore's Italian nationality, like Mario of Super Mario Bros.
Giant Octopus

A giant octopus can be found in Santa Maria Della Visitazione. The octopus appears after activating the lever that brings out the bars to swing and traverse the final chamber.

To find the giant octopus you must look down the water near the lever for a minute. Once a minute or so has passed a cutscene showing a large octopus should pass by. A second cutscene can be activated if the player activates the lever and looks down again. The cutscene shows Ezio narrowly dodging the giant octopus's tentacle, then swims away.
Altaïr's Outfit
left|300px Altaïr's outfit from Assassin's Creed can be unlocked via Uplay by purchasing it for 30 points. It does not add/change any stat points for Ezio. It can also be worn in conjunction with any cape, allowing the player to wear the Altaïr outfit and still maintain 0% notoriety with the Medici or Venetian Capes.
The Bonfire of the Vanities
Analyzing what could have happened during the corrupted memory sequences, Shaun evokes the Bonfire of the Vanities which occurred in Florence and Rebecca says that she loves the movie of the same name by De Palma. Shaun then sarcastically suggests that it is not the appropriate moment for such comments. After downloading the Bonfire of the Vanities DLC, you may visit the Auditore home countyard area and Ezio will see a vision of his whole family.
Tools
Some NPC's tools can be used as Improper Weapons:
