Derna is a city in Libya, on the Maghreb.
History
In 1805, the merchant ship The Painted Lady carrying Solomon Bolden and Jan van der Graff arrived on the port city of Derna. From there, van der Graff arranged for a couple of camels so he and Bolden could make their way to Tripoli.[1]
