Church of Takatsuki

The Church of Takatsuki is a church in Takatsuki in Osaka Prefecture, Japan, south of the former Takatsuki Castle.

History[edit | edit source]

In 1582, the church was the target of a raid by a group of shrine raiders that included Tetsuo, a youth who was previously under the care of the sōhei Yaya. The Iga kunoichi Fujibayashi Naoe, who was sent by Yaya, found Tetsuo inside the building and attempted to persuade him to return to Yaya with her. However, Tetsuo, who mistakenly believed Naoe had been sent to kill him, quickly ran out, causing Naoe to give chase.[1]
