- "Wherefore Cain was called Master Mahan, and he gloried in his wickedness."
- ―Glyph #6.[src]
Cain was the first of Adam and Eve's two sons, and the murderer of his younger brother, Abel, in order to steal a Piece of Eden that he had possessed.
In the 21st century, many years after his death, Clay Kaczmarek referred to the Templar cross as the "Mark of Cain," in emphasis that he was the first Templar.
Biography
Cain was the firstborn of Adam and Eve, two direct human descendants of the First Civilization. At one point in his life, Cain killed his younger brother, to steal the Apple of Eden that he possessed, committing the first recorded homicide in human history.
Cain's mark, which he was given for killing Abel, became the symbol of the Templars; a cross that they worked under to collect more Pieces of Eden.
Clay Kaczmarek, also known as Subject 16, spoke of Cain in one of the Glyphs that he hid within the Animus programming. There, he mentioned Cain's killing of Abel through quotes from the "Pearl of Great Price" scripture of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
