This upgrade allows you to counter with the Hidden Blade, making it a much more useful item in combat.

This upgrade allows you to kill any enemy (besides a boss) with one counter, instead of multiple like the other swords.

The upgrade menu

In Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines, upgrades were implemented and could be purchased from the Animus interface menu.

The upgrades could be obtained by spending points, which were in turn gained by collecting Templar coins in Limassol and Kyrenia. Four additional upgrades could be received by connecting Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines with Assassin's Creed II on the PlayStation 3, however, they do not appear in the upgrade screen.
