The Zodiac Krikotoi, also known as the Meteoroskopion of Alexandria was one of the earliest known and most complete armillary sphere of antiquity, located in the Library of Alexandria in Alexandria, Egypt. It was an observational device used to determine the locations of celestial bodies around Earth, then considered as the center of the universe. The position is fixed by corresponding the latitude and meridian rings to the position of the sun or a star.[1]
