―Description of the ship on the message board[src]
The Shadowed Nymph

The Shadowed Nymph was a pirate trireme which traversed the Aegean Sea during the 5th century BCE.

Captained by an ostracized Athenian polemarch, the ship was destroyed by the Adrestia commandeered by the Spartan misthios Kassandra at some point during the Peloponnesian War. Kassandra then claimed the ship's valuables as well as its sails and finery.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

The sail of Shadowed Nymph bears the likeness of Cerberus, the three-headed hound of Hades while her name alludes to an unnamed nymph. However, as the figurehead of Shadowed Nymph features Skylla, a nymph turned into a monster in Greek mythology, she may be the intended nymph.
