The Palladium, also known as the Shield of Rome, was a legendary shield allegedly given by the Roman god of war Mars on Mount Olympus. It featured a golden lion's head surrounded by a laurel wreath.
The shield was handed down and eventually made its way to Egypt, where it was recovered by the Medjay Bayek of Siwa during the 1st century BCE.[1]
