Jiguey, located on the northern coast of Cuba, was one of several smuggler dens in the Caribbean. It was found and robbed of its supplies by the pirate Edward Kenway during the early 18th century.
Accessible via a gap in a rock wall, Jiguey consisted of a spacious cavern partially filled with water brought in from the tides. Used to keep various wares, the den possessed a large storage area, as well as several wooden walkways to get around. Tents were also set up on the beach, where vegetation was able to grow thanks to the hole in the cave's ceiling.
