Hemon (died 70 BCE) was a senior Medjay, who took residence in Djerty, Egypt.
Biography[edit | edit source]
In 70 BCE, a fellow Medjay, Sabu of Siwa, visited Hemon to warn him of an assassin who was hired to eliminate the Medjay bloodline. Sabu later left to search for said assassin. Unfortunately, the killer soon found and captured both Hemon and his son, Sabestet. After being interrogated, Hemon and Sebestet were executed by the assassin, who learned that Sabu and his son, Bayek, were the last of the Medjay.[1]

Hemon is a character in the 2017 novel Assassin's Creed: Origins – Desert Oath, released as a tie-in to Assassin's Creed: Origins and written by Oliver Bowden. He shares his name with the architect of the Great Pyramid of Giza.[2]
