Gyda was a Norse woman who lived in Lunden during the 9th century. She had a daughter named Regna and was a friend of Erke Bodilsson, one of the city's reeves.

In 873, Gyda's daughter Regna ran errands for Oija, a blacksmith who secretly assisted the nun and Order of the Ancients member Frideswid in her experimentations on human bodies. As she had no information about the blacksmith's name or whereabouts, Gyda soon grew worried about her daughter's work and feared for her safety after a series of bodies began to appear on the city docks.[1]
At some point, after not seeing Regna for two days, Gyda rushed to the docks upon hearing of another body appearing there under the same circumstances. At the docks, Gyda met Erke and Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, who assured her that the body was not Regna's.
