Hilda was an Anglo-Saxon woman from Picheringa during the 9th century.
In the 870s Hilda was mocking the fishwife Vera about the whereabouts of her husband. Unknown to either of them, Vera's husband had recently been killed at the hands of bandits, a fact the Viking Shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir later shared to the latter.[1]
