The Movie Update, also known as the Movie Event, is a downloadable content addition and the fourth major update for Assassin's Creed: Identity. The update received an advance notice on 22 November 2016 by the official social media,[1] and was released the following day.[2]

The update added the following:[2]
- A 4 weeks long special event for a chance to win the famous Benedicto and Aguilar outfits.
- New gear from the Spanish Inquisition featuring more than 100 new weapons and armor.
- New Relic chests will give a chance to win color variations of the Spanish Novice, Benedicto and Aguilar outfits.
Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
According to the UI artist Hubert Tarassoff, the update was planned to include some additional content that was cut before release, including the UI background, database entries for the movie, and a new story campaign set in Spain centered around Aguilar's origins.[3]
