Marc Albinet was the Game Director for Assassin's Creed: Unity.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Early life and career[edit | edit source]

Marc Albinet's career in the gaming industry began as a graphic artist at Ubi Soft in 1984, followed by work at Psygnosis on notable games like Unreal and Agony. He then transitioned to sound design and production at Infogrames, contributing to Alone in the Dark 2 and Prisoner of Ice. At Adeline Software, he served as a writer and game designer for Little Big Adventure 2. At Doki Denki Studio, he held roles as Game Director and Game Design Manager, overseeing game direction and managing designers. As Creative Director at Phoenix Studio, he mentored teams and developed creative guidelines. He authored "Concevoir un jeu vidéo" in 2009 and rejoined the rebranded Ubisoft in 2010, where he served as Game Design Manager and Senior Game Designer, providing guidelines and training across studios.[1]

Assassin's Creed[edit | edit source]

Beginning development in 2012, Albinet worked as Game Director for Assassin's Creed: Unity where he was responsible for the entire project's gameplay and scope.[1] It would then release in November 2014.
