Orenda was a small forest that housed an Oneida village during the 18th century, located in the western part of the River Valley in the state of New York.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
During the Seven Years' War, the Oneida village was led by the Clan Mother Onatah, who taught her people the legend of the Sky Woman and kept an ancient set of native armor locked in the village's cave.[2]
In 1757, the Assassin Kesegowaase and his men attacked the village and used its occupants as hostages, but the Templar ally Shay Cormac eliminated the soldiers and freed the natives. Grateful to their savior, Onatah showed the native armor and retold the legend of the Sky Woman to Shay.[2]
