Teague was an acolyte of the Hidden Ones based in the bureau under the Temple of Ceres near Glevum during the late-4th century.

Following his adoption of Christianity as the state religion for the Roman Empire in 380, the Emperor Theodosius I supported the campaign of persecution against the pagans living within the Empire.
