Nottfall was a whaling village southeast of Stavanger in Rygjafylke, Norway.

During the 870s, the village came under the control of Kjotve the Cruel and his Wolf Clan, who used it as a staging area to launch a sneak attack on the Raven Clan based in Fornburg.[1]
In late 872, the Raven Clan led by Eivor Varinsdottir and Sigurd Styrbjornsson raided Nottfall as revenge for the sneak attack, as well as to send a message to Kjotve. At the end of the raid, King Harald arrived in Nottfall to propose an alliance with the Raven Clan to settle the clan rivalry once and for all.[1]
