==History==
By 1582, a local [[Yuki-onna (woman)|woman]] began living in the cave and seducing wanderers every winter, only for her to kill them and then eat their remains. However, the [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] members [[Yasuke]] and [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] came to investigate after agreeing to help monk [[Mamushi]] inspect this claim. They soon came across the woman in the winter and entered the cave following her. Inside, they saw her victims and subsequently assassinated her. They then acquired the [[katana]] [[Violet Night]] from the woman's personal effects,<ref name="The Yokai">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[The Yokai]]</ref> 

Upon further inspection, they also discovered a dead yamabushi [[The Mountain Yamabushi|imposter]] as one of the woman's victims and read a letter from his personal effects dictating his mission from Lord [[Oda Nobunaga]].<ref name="Yamabushi Imposters">''[[Assassin's Creed: Shadows]]'' – [[Yamabushi Imposters]]</ref>
