==Biography==
In 1613, Vizcaíno was assigned to accompany the [[Japan]]ese diplomat [[Hasekura Tsunenaga]] and his party to a mission to {{Wiki|New Spain}}. However, his relations with the Japanese soured, due to his cruel demeanor and arrogance. In early 1614,<ref name="Wiki"/> upon their arrival in [[Acapulco]], Vizcaíno was seriously injured after an incident with his Japanese crewmates,<ref name="JournalEntry">''[[Animus Hub]]'' – [[Database: Digitized Journal Entry]]</ref> where Tsunenaga had wounded him with his ''[[katana]]''.
