Señor Sebastián Vizcaíno did say he would return again with more Japanese visitors. It is only the second time that they have set foot on our land. But they are bold people, moving about like eagles. Señor Vizcaíno is not among them, one of the Friars acts as interpreter. We have heard of the incident in Acapulco. There were special gifts, meant only for the Holy Father in Rome, others meant for the King of Spain, and still more. Yet, it was not enough according to Señor Vizcaíno. The Japanese swordsmen disagreed and were severe with him. He will join us, slowly.

One of the bold men, always with swords at his side, came to me with the Friar. He asked for directions to Tulum. The Friar gave me a pleading look. I did my best to provide detailed directions, it is quite a journey from here. The bold man smiled, gave an order and one of his vassals brought me a new desk which I now use for writing. I wonder, what does the man seek in Tulum?
