The '''Whip of the Deserter''' was a [[kusarigama]] that [[Fujibayashi Naoe]] obtained in 1582. That year, Naoe and fellow [[Japanese Brotherhood of Assassins|Kakushiba ''ikki'']] member [[Yasuke]] were tasked by [[Kennyo]] with eliminating a group of [[bounty hunter]]s who were after his son, [[Kyonyo]]. Following a lead to the city of [[Saika]], the pair located [[Kamakichi]] skulking around.
