'''Tomi''' was a [[Japan]]ese woman and the younger sister of [[Fujibayashi Tsuyu|Tsuyu]] who lived during the late [[Sengoku period]].

==Biography==
Born in [[Osaka]], Tomi was the younger sister of Tsuyu and one of the few children to her parents. In 1541, Tomi and Tsuyu were tasked to bring home both food and supplies from a vendor. While traveling, Tomi asked for Tsuyu to rest but was told to persevere for the sake of their family. Along their path, they came across a motionless [[samurai]], whom Tomi prayed for, against Tsuyu's advice. Suddenly, the samurai rose and demanded to meet their parents. When he took out his ''[[katana]]'', the girls ran home, escaping their attacker, but losing most of their supplies. Arriving home, they oversaw their father barter with the local monks about their debts, agreeing to a bigger payment next year.<ref name="Ch 15"/>

In 1542, Tomi overheard her father beg and then offered Tsuyu as a [[Slavery|servant]] to their [[temple]]. Tomi then pleaded that Tsuyu has alway taken care of the family and begged for her not to leave. The adults ignored her pleas and soon offered a counter to have both girls, which will result in a full payment with interest. When Tomi was grabbed, Tsuyu grabbed a broom, hit one of the monks, and told her father not to sell Tomi. While their father retracted Tomi leaving, he ultimately gave Tsuyu away for her disobedience. At some point, Tomi was taken away for her family's payment and was made to work at one of the monks' temple. For more than a decade, she served as a servant and took care of cleaning the temple. Fortunately, she was found by Tsuyu, who was now an [[Assassin]], as she cried and apologized for their father's choice. Tsuyu then gave Tomi a bag of [[mon]], so she can buy her freedom.
