Winifred was a female bear that fostered an young orphan Anglo-Saxon boy in southwestern Cent in the 9th century.

Biography[edit | edit source]

In the 870s, Winifred became an animal companion and guardian to a young orphan boy. However, the bear left the child on his own while the child gathered food and honey for his friend's return. One day, Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan came by and noticed the child on his own. Helping him out, Eivor gathered honey and waited for Winifred to come. After a brief conversation with the orphan, she saw Winifred appear while the boy was happy to see his protector. Together, the boy and his bear left to meet with his other friends after thanking Eivor for her help.[1]

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]

Depending on the player's choices, Eivor may kill the bear after the quest is completed.[1]
