Defaultsort-ing[edit source]
That one space in the defaultsort you're removing doesn't really improve the categorization or the article in any way, so I suggest you find different aspects to edit. What you're doing now just clogs the activity feed. Crook The Constantine District 13:27, February 23, 2016 (UTC)
- TheCreedX, while we appreciate your dedication to editing, adding a bunch of spaces to infoboxes has zero visual or technical benefit to the articles. The MoS may have these spaces added, but the infobox coding renders it unnecessary. Please refrain from making these edits, as they indeed clog up the feed like Crookandcharlatan mentioned. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 15:01, February 23, 2016 (UTC)
- The information in the infobox can be edited regardless of the added spaces. The only thing you are achieving by this is cluttering the feed, scoring senseless edits (badge-hunting is not allowed), and changing the way we've been using infoboxes for years now. If the MoS doing it differently from the wikia in general is what bothers you, we can just amend the MoS. Amnestyyy (Contact me!) <helper /> 15:14, February 23, 2016 (UTC)
- Consider this example of dirty code in an article. And no, I'm not hunting badge. TheCreedX (talk) 15:16, February 23, 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, that sometimes happens when people make edits in visual mode - it can mess up the source. That, however, has no bearing to the edits you've been making, and is not an article on this wikia, but rather one of our different-language counterparts. Amnestyyy (Contact me!) <helper /> 15:19, February 23, 2016 (UTC)
- Like I said. It's not an article on this wikia. Our articles do not have those coding errors. If they do, then your editor is the one inserting them. And, I reiterate my previous point: this has absolutely no relevance to the matter at hand, which was you adding the blank spaces to the infoboxes. Template editing[edit source]
Hey TheCreedX, may I ask what is the project you're undertaking by making all these changes to templates and infoboxes? For edits such as this, it's much better to discuss it with administrators first. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 07:36, December 17, 2017 (UTC)
- I'm not with any project, I'm just organizing the infoboxes. TheCreedX (talk) 07:38, December 17, 2017 (UTC)
- I just meant project in general or personal project. And what is the issue with the infoboxes as they were? Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 08:04, December 17, 2017 (UTC)
- In the case of Game Infobox, I optimized the documentation by creating a specific page for it. In the case of the Character Infobox, I just removed parameters from documentation that no longer existed in the infobox, and added new parameters that had been added, such as affiliates, database and species. By doing a little analysis, you can see that. TheCreedX (talk) 08:09, December 17, 2017 (UTC)
