Sharks[edit source]

Hey, Cittykat

First of all, welcome on the wiki :)

For your information, I was the person who created the Sharks article you've edited. You are completely right, the article is very outdated (I made it when Black Flag hadn't been released yet, and it hasn't been updated since), so I appreciate your enthusiasm in trying to fix that.

However, there's a great many policies in place to ensure the wiki is (mostly) organized - normally a welcome message should've been added to your talkpage, but there's been some issues with that. I don't know if I can add it myself, but I'll have a go.

Anyways yes, a lot of structures on this wiki. Which means that, if you're going to contribute more in the future, I advise you to take a look at other articles and see how they are set up, and then mimic their style. As it is, I will have to overhaul your "great white shark" article, as it does not correspond to the style of the other animals' articles.

For one, the title of the article should be in plural, as with the others. Secondly, we utilize an in-universe approach on this wiki. This means we are an encyclopedia, not a walkthrough or guide for the game. We look at all the information within the game and treat it as if it is real - we basically write the articles as if they belong on wikipedia. Any references to "games", "soundtracks", "voice actors", "game mechanics", etc. is restricted to a set of articles, or the Trivia section. Anything else should be written without taking the game-aspect in mind.

This might seem overwhelming at first - it takes a bit of time to get into the mindset. Anyways, if you have any further questions, you can ask them on my, or any of the other staff members's talkpages. Alright, thanks for reading and happy editing! Crook already explained it why I keep undoing your edit - we write the articles in an In-Universe format. We don't write from an Out-of-Universe perspective. See the other articles around the wiki, it should be pretty clear what format to follow. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 15:51, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

Hammerhead sharks[edit source]

It's a misunderstanding, CittyKat. There's two pages right now - Hammerhead sharks and [Hammerhead Sharks.]] The second one is the one you created, the first one already existed on the wikia. Crook The Constantine District 15:26, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

All of that could've been avoided if you checked the first article's history, and see it was made months ago. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 15:38, December 29, 2014 (UTC)
Alright, Kain, no need to get snooty. He is new to the wiki. Crook The Constantine District 15:41, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

Attitude[edit source]

Hi! Thank you for your contributions to the wiki; we're in desperate need of new editors, so any help we can get is appreciated. However, I see you're getting a bit frustrated and are now angry at some user. I'd first like to point out that no article in the wiki 'belongs' to anybody, everything belongs to the wiki. Everybody can edit everything, they don't need to ask permission. As for all the missing content on the Hammerhead sharks page, it seems you were posting that when the page was still called Hammerhead Shark, but then Kain moved the page to Hammerhead sharks so it could not be uploaded to the article under the previous name. That's an edit conflict; two people can't make edits simultaneously. That is nobody's fault, and happens every now and then. Please make sure you keep your attitude at ease, nobody is harbouring any bad will towards anyone here. Thanks again for your contributions! -- Master Sima Yi Talk 15:28, December 29, 2014 (UTC)

Images[edit source]

Please note that you need to source any and all images you upload to the wiki in accordance to our image policy. For more information on how to source images, check this page. Also check the information about naming images appropriately. Badly named or unsourced images will be deleted. Feel free to reupload your deleted image with proper sourcing. Thank you. Manual of Style[edit source]

I believe this is what you're looking for. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 16:07, December 30, 2014 (UTC)

Also, please stop getting into rages when someone alters your work. That's how a collaborative encyclopedia works, I'm afraid. --Crimson Knight Intercom 16:08, December 30, 2014 (UTC)
