Warning[edit source]

"Have some respect for death, my friend."

Safety and peace. We have observed that some of your recent activities on the wiki were of ill fate. While your help is just as good as any, please try to refrain from negatively affecting the wiki and its community. Should you require any assistance or have any concerns, please refer to us if need be.
This is your first warning. Arrivederci.

Ageansea, your conduct this month in the Discussions board has been flagrant, disruptive, and demonstrates a lack of concern for basic civility, and because of this, you are being given your first warning and a one-week ban.

You have the freedom to criticize Ubisoft's choice of Kassandra as the canonical protagonist as much as you desire, but this should be conducted with clear and concise arguments rather than vociferously ranting, in vulgar language, about her being a product of "SJWs".

To clarify the error I find in your posts to other users, it is not that I disagree with the historical fact that ancient Greece was characterized by the abject oppression of women and that this should have been addressed in Odyssey. Though I personally do not begrudge that Kassandra is the canonical protagonist—having chosen her myself—I do believe that her lack of experience with any form of discrimination in the game as a woman and the incredibly widespread presence of free women serving as mercenaries were unrealistic; Ubisoft would have made a better product had they been open and frank about such misogyny and shown how Kassandra confronted and overcame it, rather than censoring it outright. This is my position.

However, there is a fine line between disapproving of Kassandra as a protagonist because it is historically inaccurate and disapproving of her as the protagonist because she is a woman and using the argument of historical inaccuracy as an excuse. Often, I find that many players who disavow her fall within a spectrum where it is not clear, even to themselves, which is the real reason.

This is where ranting about "SJW" and flaming fellow users for merely explaining that Kassandra is the canonical protagonist can be an indication of one's subconscious biases. Certain terms we use are loaded and intrinsically carry extended meanings and purposes beyond their nominal definition. "Social justice warrior" is one of them. While there have been cases where I am of the opinion that social activists have overreacted, even when criticizing them for it, I refrain from calling them an "SJW" because that specific term embodies a particular political sentiment that goes beyond mere frustration with an activist's overreaction. Case in point, when you mock a writer for being "horny" because a woman is the star in his novel, when you insult other users for liking Kassandra, when you imply that Kassandra being the canonical hero is part of a sociopolitical agenda for women, and when you connect all this with your hatred for Wonder Woman, the way you are vocalizing your discontent about it is not consistent with a genuine disappointment in Ubisoft's faithlessness to the gender inequality in ancient Greece. Rather, it is more consistent with an underlying disdain for the very mere fact that a woman is the female lead. If you actually cared about gender equality, your anger would have been directed at women's struggles in Greece not being accurately depicted, rather than at the hero being a woman.

The reason why I have taken the time to give such an extended explanation to you, even though I am under no obligation to do so, and it may seem superfluous, is because I do find that your posts verge on sexism, but I did not wish to call them that without explaining to you why that is my perception in the hopes that you might understand.

Sexist posts are strictly prohibited in this community, but of course, your posts transgressed other guidelines of basic decency in your argument with another user over Kassandra being the canonical protagonist. That altercation was entirely off-topic from the original post and utilized not rational points delivered in a civil manner but only condescending remarks towards the other party.

Thus far, I have had to remove almost every comment that you have posted. If you return after your temporary ban, please be sure to review our guidelines. Sol Pacificus(Cyfiero) 08:19, June 25, 2019 (UTC)

Please be advised that creating multiple accounts to evade a ban is called sockpuppetry and this, along with abusing the report function, is strictly prohibited. I am extending your ban by a further two weeks. If this happens again, I will be giving you your official second level warning along with a one-month ban.
