Well i think the lucy plot twist was something they didn't consider from the beginning , and btw i have a full theory on that on my profile , anyway .. They - managers / writers - realized that the fans didn't like desmond so they started escelating events so that they get him and who i think was supposed to be a love interest (lucy) out of the way .. But why she appeared blue in ACB .. No idea !
