that's an interesting theory and with altair's mother being christian it could be done. however the templar's weren't started till the crusades. i think AC3 like AC2 will feature an ancestor for a much larger portion of his life. they could have a french soldier serving under general lafayette particapating in the american revolution. then go back home to to deal with the french revolution. also it was the french governement under king Phillip the IV that disbanded the templar's so there may be a revenge factor on the templar's part. also one of the glyphs shows louis the 15th with a piece of eden.
