They said that they will now move back in time and not forward, since moving forward would have too many guns. And honestly I'm so glad that regular soldiers use swords in ACIVBF and not muskets, I really missed it, the muskets got irritating after a couple dozen hours of non-stop playing. Still wish they change the combat system to be different in the next game, sure, they improved it from the suckish one in AC3 but its still not as satisfying as in the games prior to 3.
