Really Crook? I would've thought you've seen Fassbender as Magneto ("I am going to count to three and I'm going to move the coin.") I recommend also watching Hunger and 12 Years A Slave (there was also his middle collaboration with Steve McQueen, Shame, but I can't personally recommend it as I haven't seen it). He's always shined even in disappointing films like Centurion, A Dangerous Method and Prometheus.
