I find it more enjoyable to do the "cleaning" by myself. There is always a herald nearby after-all and I have money to spare. In previous ACs I used to always clean up the messes I make, by dumping the bodies where they can't be found, but due to 100% sync and the fact that bodies disappear the moment you turn around a corner, made this obsolete so now I just turn a corner, come back and pickup a musket, and always return to the same spot after shooting one bullet and dropping the gun.
