The glyphs in AC2 or AC:B showed a picture reference that goes along with Jesus and the Pieces of Eden. He had the Shroud of Eden I believe, and in AC1 the Templars believed that the Holy Grail was also a POE. He may have even had the apple, but I can't seem to remember at the moment. I figure that your idea is amazing to me, and it could really become a great view of the time, as it has so many possibilities. Only a shame that there would be way too much criticism over it with Jesus and religion. Maybe the Fall of the Roman Empire, seeing as it was run by Templars, and we could play as a Germanic Assassin or something, if I am getting my time periods right.
