i believe that cain and abel were the assassin and the templar, it shows a good early example of the conflict between the assassins and the templars. For the sub 16 being related to desmond if he isnt directly related then he must be a form of a cousin, because brother or dad would be way too close. and then theres the humans that obey, yeah they would obey because they have to think whats right and not realize what is actually going on(minds being formed as kids)
