Perhaps that's what floats your boat, Outsider, but if a games developer has to make a frankenstein out of other games' features, there's no appeal there.

Why play this for the Assassin's Creed traversal when you can play Assassin's Creed? Why play this for the Batman Arkham series' combat when you can play the Batman Arkham series?

The whole point in games development being a creative medium is that there's creativity in it. Piecing together gameplay from other games and putting a fancy skin over the top is not respect-worthy and makes you look like a bland thief who's trying to coddle the masses.
