Daniel tries to assassinate Desmond but kills William instead, which angers Vidic and Abstergo, setting in motion a chain of events where Desmond must face off again Daniel and Abstergo in various facilities to ensure they don't aquire the information before the Assassins do about the the Grand Temple and what it holds. :P
