It depends on opinions of different people. The more professional users on this site prefer not to have the activity feed full of comments because they don't really get involved in most of the arguments. In my wiki the Admins keep the Recent Activity on at all times and respond to anything that is extremely rude(not in a fun way, mind you),incorrect facts etc. So most pointless arguments are resolved by the admins before they cloud up the activity feed.
