I don't entirely agree with the possibility of never playing as a Templar (I mean does that really stop people from playing multiplayer), however I do agree that it's not something that needs to be done for a while. Until they reach a point in the story that can only be explained through Templars, they shouldn't make one soon, and I think it would be for Vita.
