What the fuck would we climb? Even New York, Boston and Philadelphia would be immensely underdeveloped at that point in time compared to where we've been. To go from the Third Crusade in the Levant, to Renaissance Italy to Constantinople -- all filled with some of the world's most unique architecture -- to a relatively flat stretch of land in colonial North America would be disappointing, to say the least.

It'd be a cool story, but logistically I can't see how it'd be any fun compared to what we've had in the past. The entire game is based around parkour and free-running -- why fuck that up?

French Revolution would be the way to go. Paris, Marseilles and a ton of bloodshed -- sounds like a good AC game to me. Hell, I know they'd never do it and it's insanely overdone, but WWII Germany would even be better than the American Revolution. Hopefully this is just a rumor.
